Self-Care Portfolio is a reflective lifestyle and personal development blog by Lee, exploring five pillars of well-being: Skill Development, Creativity & Expression, Community & Connection, Physical Well-Being, and Financial Well-Being.
The brand’s motto, “Self-Care is a Strategy,” reflects a practical approach to building balance, confidence, and autonomy.
Earlier this year, something shifted in me. I felt stretched thin reactive and low on energy, even for the small things. I realized I had been running on obligation for so long that I no longer noticed when I crossed into burnout. I was pouring out more than I was pouring in.
So I started wondering:
What would it look like to center myself?
What if I stopped just giving advice and started taking my own?
That question became the start of Self-Care Portfolio my experiment in showing up for myself with the same consistency I’ve shown up for others.
What You’ll Find Here
This blog is part journal, part resource, and part reminder that you’re not the only one figuring it out as you go. I share my wins, roadblocks, and lessons in real time not as an expert, but as someone learning alongside you.
The heart of my writing is built around four cornerstones of a well-balanced portfolio:

- Skill Development — growing my knowledge and career (including my CPA journey)
- Physical Well-Being — moving my body and caring for my health
- Creativity & Expression — making time to create for the joy of it
- Community & Connection — building friendships and relationships that matter
Some of the series you’ll see here include:
- What If I Took My Own Advice — small actions I’ve taken and what happened next here
- Advice I’m Still Sitting With — truths I’m still learning to live out here
- Portfolio Notes — quick reflections, resets, and reminders here
- The Solo-Money Series — compassionate financial talk for those budgeting solo here
You’ll also meet Nova, my illustrated guide and visual anchor, who represents this journey someone you can root for, someone doing the work even when the cameras are off.
Why This Blog Matters to Me (and Maybe to You)
If you’re navigating things on your own, trying to center yourself again, or just figuring it out step by step… you’re in the right place.
This isn’t about perfect routines or overnight transformation. It’s about making space for yourself, showing up for your own goals, and seeing what becomes possible when you stop leaving yourself for last.
Thanks for being here. Let’s build this together.
